Georgia earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University Southern California in 1999, and has had the opportunity to work as a staff, contract and travel physical therapist in dozens of facilities across the western US. She has a strong commitment to furthering her education and is certified in Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation, Franklin Method I/II, Kinesio Taping, Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN), manual therapy and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT). MAT is a systematic method of identifying and treating muscular imbalance and dysfunction in the body created by Greg Roskopf, a biomechanical consultant to the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz. This vast experience has afforded her insight into a holistic mind/body treatment approach where she combines research, movement science, imagery, awareness and humor to restore balance and function and optimize healing. Georgia has also worked as a sports/fitness instructor for 20+ years teaching skiing, in-line skating, personal training and aquatics. She is a Level III certified ski instructor and has been teaching with the ski school at Beaver Creek since 2005. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, in-line skating, mind-body wellness and nutrition, and “everything” Mac computer store.
