Robert “Skip” George
Dr. Robert “Skip” George is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician/Practitioner (CCSP), Certified Sport and Conditioning Specialist and has a Level One Certification with the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. Over the course of his career he has combined chiropractic with rehabilitation and sports performance training to “bridge the gap” between these three disciplines and to help people move well and maintain function for a lifetime. He has written numerous articles on health and sport related subjects including topics that define the Functional Movement Screen and it’s relevance to training and a sports based practice. He has also lectured to chiropractors and trainers on the Functional Movement Screen including presentations for the California Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Board of Sport Physicians. His patients include high school, college and professional athletes and he has lectured and consulted with Division One college football programs regarding the application of the FMS. Skip owns Optimum Fitness and Health in La Jolla, CA and spends as much time as he can hiking and exploring the John Muir Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada.
