Y Balance Test: A Missing Link
Written by FMS YBT
The Y Balance Test (YBT) is a thoroughly researched, yet easy, way to quantify a person’s motor control and demonstrate functional symmetry. It brings the FMS movement patterns together in a triplanar motion allowing us to see how the patterns are really working together. The YBT quarters the body and looks at how the core and each extremity function under bodyweight loads.
This information can be used to identify road blocks to a person’s functional performance including measuring pre and post rehabilitation performance, improvement after performance enhancement programs, dynamic balance for fitness programs, and return to sport readiness.

Just finished the course and the exam. Totally worth the time. It cleared up a number of questions I had as well as applications of the YBT that I can put into practice on Monday in PT. Thanks so much for this!

I'm currently 50% finished with the course and have purchased the kit. Am I missing something or is the normative data from the composite score only available if you join move2perform and pay $39 month? Normative data has always been included in any standardized testing kits that I'm familiar with. Thanks for any feedback.
