Functional Movement Systems Partners with MLBPA’s Player Way to Create Youth Training App

Players Way Training App

In early 2022, Functional Movement Systems developed The Players Way Training app in partnership with The Players Way.
The Players Ways Training App is a youth athletic development platform designed specifically for young athletes and gives them the ability to discover valuable insights to improve performance, recovery, movement, and resiliency to injury.
The App allows any athlete to measure his or her core ability to move, which is the foundation of all athletic abilities. Each participant will be given a multi-step Movement Screen that normally takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. In addition, the app will house a number of instructional videos about exercise, pre-game stretching, and other topics.
Following the 5-step movement screen, athletes will be provided with a tailored improvement program. Programs and exercises are routinely changed. After completing 7 improvement sessions, athletes are encouraged to take the movement screen again, see their results, receive an updated program, and repeat.
Download and Try the Players Way app free for 7 days & continue improving for only $1.99 per month!
About Players Way
In late 2019, the Major League Baseball Players Association and the United States Specialty Sports Association formed a new enterprise, Players Way, dedicated to improving the quality, affordability, and accessibility of youth sports training, both in the United States and abroad. Our goal is not to supplant any program. Instead, we want to help every program focus more on individual development by providing instruction from those who have played, coached, or been involved with their sport at its highest level.
The members of the Major League Players Association created Players Way to change the status quo of youth baseball in the United States.
USSSA created Players Way to be the guide all athletes can follow when it comes to their development within the game they love.

cant find much agreement with this app- appears this is a chase towards profit vs principle. FMS has done so much positive work to develop systems to allow PT's and movement professionals to be the experts in movement and developmental athleticism giving a path to collaborate rather than compete with coaches. So ,at least on the surface, this app and co-op has erased that work and grass root principles of FMS
